HAUTE HUNTERS is a fashion-forward K-pop Demon Hunters Zine exploring Korean fashion from the past to the present through idol-glam and spotlight.
Presented as a curated fashion archive rather than a narrative-driven zine, HAUTE HUNTERS reimagines Huntrix and the Saja Boys through iconic silhouettes, styling, and aesthetics drawn from different eras of Korean fashion, unfolding across three chapters that trace the evolution of style from its roots to the modern spotlight.
1. Hunter’s BeginningsWe begin at the roots—early 1900s and earlier—drawing inspiration from historical Korean dress and traditional garments, honoring the enduring beauty and culture that continue to influence Korean fashion today.2. Dawn of K-popMoving into the 1980s–1990s, this chapter captures the rise of performance culture and early idol aesthetics as Korean pop culture begins to define itself on a larger stage.3. Golden AgeThe final chapter celebrates the present era, where high-glam styling, luxury influences, and modern spectacle define this section, placing Huntrix and the Saja Boys fully in the spotlight.
HAUTE HUNTERS is planned as a physical art book featuring illustrations that highlight a fashion-forward composition, styling Huntrix and/or the Saja Boys in era-inspired looks drawn from Korean fashion history, and includes written contributions from Korean artists, writers, and scholars in fashion and Korean history, offering cultural context and insight.Current production plans include an 8 × 10 inch, full-color book with glossy interior pages, a satin-finish cover with gold foil detailing, inner cover printing, perfect binding, and an estimated 72-page count.

What is a zine?
A zine or fanzine is a self-published work of original writings and art and can also include merchandise.
Will this zine be physical or digital?
This zine will have a physical and digital release, with specs to be determined.
Will physical copies or merch be available internationally?
International availability is currently TBD while we confirm production and shipping logistics.
What measures are being taken to ensure cultural sensitivity and historical accuracy?
See our cultural sensitivity statement here!
Can I apply for more than one role?
Yes, applicants will be allowed to apply for more than one position but will only be selected for one.
Will contributors receive help/guidance on the fashion eras?
Yes! While we expect and appreciate independent research and cultural awareness, contributors will receive cultural feedback and guidance outlining the three fashion eras explored in the zine, along with reference direction and contextual notes.
With fashion being the center of the zine, would you consider adding cosplayers to your contributor lineup?
If included, we would be looking for handmade or thoughtfully constructed garments, clear tributes to specific historical or modern looks, deeply considered reinterpretations, or vintage clothing, with strong emphasis on execution and concept. However, keep in mind that we will have a somewhat tight check-in and final submission schedule. There also must be high quality photos with credit/commercial permission from the photographer. In short, these would be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Are traditional and/or physical pieces of art accepted as contributions?
Yes! The only requirement in regards to this is a high quality photo or scan of the work.
